Cats Anonymous do amazing work! They have fantastic volunteers who really care about giving surrendered cats the best chance at a great life. I highly recommend attending one of their open houses so you can see the facility, meet the volunteers and see the cats for yourself.
The ladies were welcoming and knowledgeable. The shelter was very cozy, and cats were clearly well cared for. Although I was not able to find my cat at this time, I will return.
Tried to get a cat rescued from starvation and instead got the run around. They don't want to save a animal in need. Just the ones they choose to save. Not a rescue call someone else.
I absolutely love everything about cats anonymous! About 6 years ago I adopted a senior kitty named Julie who was 13 years old and had been at the shelter and loved by everyone for 5 Years! Yes 5 years as CA is a no kill shelter! loved Cats Anonymous and the people so much that I have been volunteering there on a weekly basis ever since! I recently adopted 2 senior ragdolls (brother and sister) and I have had my fair share of questions and stress as I am integrating them into my house with my 3 year old tabby (she also came from CA). Tish responds to all of my questions and passes on amazing advice anytime I need assistance. I can honestly say that even if I am experiencing a stressful/ bad day, I head over for my volunteer shift/fun and my mind is clear and Positive:)
I am taken aback by the review by "Barb"! Perhaps "Barb" could connect with Tish Walshe directly to address her concerns. Perhaps she has confused Cats Anonymous in Marsville with another rescue center that she had dealings with. It is sad to think she may have had such a negative experience somewhere, however, she would not have found that at Cats Anonymous. I have known Tish for many years and have had the pleasure to volunteer at the shelter for a while now. All the staff and volunteers are kind, caring, thoughtful, animal loving individuals who dedicate their time to this worthy cause. Rooms are scrubbed everyday, cats are loved, fed and exercised every day. The cats/kittens/rescue/feral animals are treated with the utmost respect, kindness and love. 10+ Stars to Cats Anonymous for their dedicated work to assist the feline population, not just locally, but in many areas. Very well run, very dedicated to the well being of all the cats that have been lucky enough to have found this shelter. Would recommend this shelter to anyone who wants to adopt a cat. A great deal of effort goes into ensuring the cats and their perspective new owners are a good match
I have adopted both my cats from the Cats Anonymous organization, and both my experiences were amazing. I was given the information needed about each animal and was even given an adoption package, with special hand made items and food for my kitties.
